Changing seasons of my heart

People come into your life

Like seasons

Some just pass by,

Some for a reason.

Some feel like walking in summer,

Bare feet in the sweltering heat,

Leaving you parched and blistered,

Agonised and beat.

Some are like the evergreen spring,

Spreading the warmth of joy and happiness,

Helping you bloom and blossom,

With their never ending sweetness.

….

Some people feel like the monsoon,

Soaking you in sporadic showers,

Leaving you drenched in their overwhelming love,

Or sometimes flooding you with unwanted tears.

Then there are those winter people,

Frigid and hyperborean,

Slaying you with daggers of ice,

Leaving you in the murky shadows of oblivion.
